    High capacity Rifles and carbines

Any got one? What kind? I have been thinking about getting one, while you can. I was thinking AK47, price mostly. Maybe just a cheap Romania WASAR?? I don't like to go cheap cheap, but also don't know anything about them.

One thing I don't like about the AK47 is the short stock.

Don't know much about AR15s, I wouldn't rule one out.

Other reason I want one is to fire cheap ammo. I am sorta leaning to 7.62x39 over 5.63, might as well go big.

Other hand also looking at 9mm carbines, they could be fun. Hi point makes ones, but I was turned off by the 10 round clip, but heard you could get bigger ones.

I saw one brand that used Glock, Just something, which seemed cool, cause even if the company goes under you can get clips.

The mini 14 is a decent rifle that isn't too expensive, all things considered, and you can get 10, 20, and 30 round clips for them.

.223 or 5.56 for the new ones, and I've been told even the old ones take the 5.56.

I think a nice AR-15 with the removable carry handle would be nice.

if you got fancy you could add the free float hand guard and the detachable front sight.

as for the triggers...there are several that are custom and very nice for not all that much $$$.

the mini platform is nice as well but what you buy is what you get.

    buy something!

Unfortunately GEO, the mini does not have much in the way of accessories. Not sure why that is.

I have the Hi-Point 9 carbine and I bought a couple extended mags for them. I forgot who there made by but you have to do a little filing to make them work right. I haven't had any problem from the gun after a few thousand rds. I haven't even cleaned it yet.... Mini 14 is sweet and there a bunch of accessories available for them, including folding stocks and extended mags.

Obama's not gonna take your guns he's just gonna make it where you can't get or afford ammo. A great investment is reloading supplies and the more the better.

I have read some people say they extended mags don't work well. Price wise, the Hi Point is interesting.

it's not that hard to extend the length of pull on the AKs or SKSs stocks, the latter i have seen modified to take 30 round magazines.

that is because it is a ruger. they don't make modifications and they don't like their products to be modified.

that said, I dunno of a ruger product that isn't "bullet proof" so to speak.

well...they had a few hick-ups lately on the lcp and sr9 but they stand good for them.
