Seems like the tick population is in extra full bloom this year after the light winter and the early warm weather.
I can deal with all sorts of critters big and small, with varying numbers of legs, but ticks are one critter I completely dispise.
Utterly and completely dispise the little SOB's.
What's it looking like in your area?

Pulling 3 to 10 a day off the dogs...as bad as I have ever seen them here.

ya they may be on the rise.
I hate them buggers. After you get one, you are scratching at every pimple and freckle and creaped out every time a hair moves on your legs. I scratched the inside of my ear until it bled this week. But atleast I figured out it wasn't a tick, I hope.
Damn, arm pit hair just twinged, I am telling myself, it is nothing. People probably think I am a junkie or got lice.

Went through 2 bottles of Tempo already this year, they seem to have slowed down now. The dogs are happy they get the Frontline!

What is Tempo? Better then other brands? Deepwoods seems to be what they carry alot, and I am not sure it does all that good for ticks. I was looking at a property last year, spray it on my legs. I found over 20 on me, over then next few hours. First batch I pulled over on the side of the road, and stripped to my underwear.

Frontline doesn't work here any more. We stopped using it 2 years ago.
Apparently an immunity has been reached by the little bastages.

Tempo is a pesticide that is safe for use in commercial kitchens. Kills all kinds of critters up until the time it rains or gets washed off. It is expensive, but well worth it if you have pets and kids, especially if they like to lick the walls.

I will have to check into Tempo. Ticks are bad around here too. Luckily Frontline is working well for us still though.

Minnesota, and our area speciffically was mentioned as being one of the worst in the nation this season. Due to the early spring and warmer climate we started seeing ticks in February. Frontline has been working good so far here on dogs, but may switch to Vectra for next year.

Lil W and I went for a walk yesterday. We each came back with a tick. We even had some repellant on.

Like father, like son!
I get so many that I think it is just a part of Nebraska life. If I put all of them in a mayonnaise jar this year, it would be half full! I wonder what the hell they live on when they don't have blood.

It's the females that suck blood to feed their new young.
Rotten women.............:eagerness:
