Any body shoot air rifles on a regular basis?

I got into air guns as a kid with the popular pump guns of the times. about 8 years ago I stepped it up a bit and purchased a Chinese surplus spring rifle, loved it and I was hooked. About 5 years ago I purchased a air force talon ss and I shoot it more than any other guns that I own (37 total) .

It is 22 Cal and is capable of rim fire velocities. And I can outshoot a powder burner to 70 yards, accurate as heck. It stays by my back door for pests. Its taken several coons. Whistle pigs and skunks that invaded my space. Countless squirrels too.

Here's whatmy black beauty looks like...

I have thought about them, but it's hard to get tanks filled here.

I have looked at Crossman rifles, they aren't that fast, but I know they are plenty accurate for pests and varmints here on the farm.

I don't own any but my friend bought one of those Chinese air rifles a few yrs ago and since then he's graduated to a much better spring loaded one. I don't know what brand it is but since we live in the country we sit on the front porch and shoot starlings out of a mulberry tree a fair distance away, Loads of fun...

there sure are some accurate airguns out there these days.

I've got a cheap pump gun for the occasional pest that has to go.

The hand pumps do great, not as fast as a scuba tank but less expensive.

Look at the Benjamin blue streak in .20 Cal. Its a solid pump that is super accurate and easy to mod.

I have to wonder why air gun shooting isn't more popular. It's got to be the same kind of challenge, but without the noise and expense.

The base expense is the purchase of the gun. Some of then can get pretty pricy. The anno is dirt cheap compared to powder burners.

In my experience, most folks hear airgun and equate it with red rider bb guns.

One day I'll have a .50 Cal dragon slayer. Been drooling over that for a few years now.

Yesterday I shot a squirell out the kitchen window, with a .22. She got mad when I used 12ga though, it was louder then you would think.

Not many places in Nebraska to fill a scuba tank, the nearest water deep enough to jump in is about 1200 miles away!
