The only down side I have seen with UMC is that it has a dirtier powder, but not bad enough for me to ever quit using it.

I wouldn't worry about it. For protection, look at something that says protection or crictical defense, you will know by the price difference. You can google it, I am sure lots of people have favorites, not sure how much difference it makes. But for just shooting, it don't overly matter. I would hold off buying bulk of anything weird over the internet, and box small box of it first, to try out. But pretty much anything you get at the store is going to work. I did have fail to fire with Tullo, which is sold at lots of places.

I do like the idea of the hollow point stuff with the polymer ball in the cup, to make sure it doesn't get clogged with clothing.
