I sure do like the look of a nice blued revolver. They are classic and beautiful. I have several older revolvers that are blued and I treasure them.
I like stainless wheelguns too. I carry alot in the weather and it is nice to not need to worry about rust quite as much. The stainless guns are simple to buff out too if they get a little finish wear that does not look good.
So which is your favorite?

I said I would never buy another blued, but I would if the price was right. My first handgun, rusted up. I was living south of Chicago, very humid, I had it wrapped in silicone rag. Not for a very long time even, since it was my first, I would look at it often.

It depends on the gun. If it's one I use often or carry much I want it to be stainless but if it sits in the safe for yrs at a time, blued is OK to me. I have an old Ruger Mark I thats blued and love the look the same with my Browning Buck Mark. I like all my rifles blued

I guess I buy revolvers depending upon what I see that I like at the time. I just use the guns in a certain way depending on what they are.

I'm all about stainless these days, less maintenance, and they look good too.
When it comes to rifles, stainless is the way to go as well, for accuracy, since they break in easier, and less maintenance as well.

Blue for beauty, stainless for everyday practicality.

If money or availability wasn't an issue, everything I own would be ss. I like parkenized, but it doesn't seem durable enough, atleast some of the ones I have seen. Scrathes to easy. There is probably higher end finished out there.
The blueing on my 68 is pretty cool, I don't know if it the way it aged or the quality of the finish years ago.
My first handgun, S&W 586, pocked over the super humid hot summer, in a week or two. I ever saw anything like it. I did leave it in the plastic padded case it came in. I don't normally do that. But it was my first handgun.
It was 100 degrees and awful humid. My first summer in a place like that.

I have to agree completely. I like a good deep highly polished blue for looks, but for practicality stainless wins hands down.

Years ago when I was shooting every other day, I always had issues with rusting. sweaty hands coupled with the constant handling of them always gave me fits with trying to combat minor rusting.
They'd start to rust within the day if they weren't wiped down immediately, which of course didn't always happen.
