For me I think the CZ 75 is a fantastic fit for a full size gun. My Sig 232 feels great too.

I like my Sig but the gun that fit me the best is one I don't currently own. It's a Glock Gen 3 and I think it was the model 17 in 9mm but I looked at so many in one day I forgot which model it was. Every time I threw it up all the sights just lined up perfectly, no matter how fast or what position I was in. It's the only pistol thats ever fit me so perfectly.
I hope to correct that problem of not currently owning one very soon....

The Beretta model 84 used to fit me great but they discontinued it. If I ever see one in good shape....
The 1911 is a pretty good fit too but not quite as good as the CZs.

The best fit for me is the smith and wesson tactical .40.
I simply enjoy shooting it and it is a great performer.
I wish I could find one, new in box.

Is that an old one? Got a pic? What model is that?

It's a 4013, and yes, it's an older model that they no longer make.
I'll get a pic in a bit if I remember. We've got a 5 year old's brithday going on right now.
The grandson....

I like the looks of that gun. Its nice how the trigger guard is undercut alot to allow a nice high grip.

I did attempt to get a pic up, but got parlayed, then the official b'day romp for the kiddies today, and then we went for dinner.
I'll try to remember again tommorow.

It's either my Gen 2 Glock 23 or my S&W Sigma. I do not like finger grips, none of them fit my fingers right. Seems the older and cheaper guns fit better for me.

Finger grooves are funny because they can either feel great, like my Sig 232, or absolutely terrible. My GP100 has the Hogue grips with the finger grooves and I didn't know if I would like them at first. I do like the old style grips that Ruger was putting on their revolvers alot. Well, the Hogues feels great too.

Nice. Being a Smith I bet the trigger is pretty good too.

Once it goes to single the trigger is real nice, and even in double from the get go, it's pretty smooth and reasonably light.
Never checked what the pull on it is, but it's a good trigger in double action for a carry gun.
It was big with cops in it's day, and it is just one more that I don't know why they stopped making them.
The tactical has a few upgrades from the standard 4013, that makes it just a little better than the average. Lock time is slighty shorter due to the way it is ported, stuff like that where many wouldn't notice the difference.

Thats a nice gun. Do you use the slide mounted safety or just carry it with the safety off and depend on the double action trigger?

I was looking for this picture and somehow missed this last post.
The safety/decocker does get used.
We just had a state cop shoot himself in the leg a few days back at his barracks..........

I had a chance to get to the indoor range today. Spent an hour with 2 rented guns....S&W M&P 40C and the XD45 (both guns were at least a year old models). Both felt fine. The XD shoots really well for a 45 cal. XD was a 13 rnd model, I wonder if the newer XDS (single stack) would feel as good with the narrower grip?

Single stacks are good carry gun models but they dont usually feel as good in the hand as a thicker grip frame from a double stacker.
The M&P is a well built handgun for the dollars too.
This here's a tactical .40.
SIR--can you explain what is so "tactical" about that there .40?
I mean what's in a fancy name?

The .40 tactical has some upgrades from the standard 410's (I believe that's the model).
The 4013 TSW has a bit different gas system, a bit different trigger, and a few other little things that give it a faster lock time, less felt recoil, equipment rail, etc.
The tactical version is just an upgrade from the standard version.
Keep in mind, this is what was considered a compact model back then.
Things have changed a good bit since......

A tactical has the ability to shoot your testicals off without touching a hair on tasshole. Now look that up in your Funk and Wagnals :highly_amused:
no need to look it up MAC--copy that loud and clear......
GEO
