I picked this shotgun up about 25 yrs ago because I love side by sides. I've asked a lot of people if they knew anything about it and so far no one can give me any idea of who it was made by. On the top of one barrel it says made in Italy and then in front of it it says Abbrica and the top of the other barrel it says Excam Corp Hialeah Fla.
It's a 3" magnum and the silver engraved breech is beautiful and it's choked full & full [No screw in tubes]
This gun has brough a lot of meat home from turkey shoots because it shoots tight. I never really hunted with it but I think it would make a great goose gun. So anyone out there with info and I'd love to know if it has any value. I didn't pay much for it because it came into this country through Fla.

I know the Excam name, I just need to jog my memory as to who actually manufactured it.

I've always wanted a side by side. For some reasons, over and unders, don't capture my interest. I read recently about using different chokes in each barrel. One wide for the first shot, and tight one for the next one further out. I am more of a one shot guy, ask the OL, but it sounds good. Where I hunt, so many trees 2nd is tough.
Not sure if it would make a difference, but its a good excuse for a gun.

Most likely made by A. Zoli in Italy.
Actually, I think the over/under I picked up recently is a zoli as well, imported by excam.
Typically not worth much, just a utility gun for the most part.
Now I have to check the safe tommorow and see for sure.

I put on my glasses and could actually see what it says on the barrels
Fabbrica Armi Fausti Stefano Marcheno
Marcheno VT [BS] ? I think it's a B might be an R
On the reciever tang right above the thunb safty it says SICURA
I did a google search but still couldn't come up with any info. I think I bought the gun in the mid 80s so any help would be appreciated.
On edit--- I think I traced it down to this company

My over/under was made by: Fausti Stefano, Marcheno, VT(BS). Imported by Excam.
Apparently some info is missing in this below statement.
Excam:
Previous importer and distributor located in Hialeah, FL, which went out of business late 1990. Excam distributed Dart, Erma, Tanarmi, Targa, and Warrior exclusively in the U.S. All importation of Excam firearms ceased in 1990.
All Targa and Tanarmi pistols were manufactured in Gardone V.T., Italy. All Erma and Warrior pistols and rifles were manufactured in W. Germany. Senator O/U shotguns were manufactured by A. Zoli located in Brescia, Italy.

How old is your gun, any idea? They do have many of the same characteristics and the differences could be attributed to a S by S compared to an O&U. Do you think or were you able to see if the importer used different manufacturers for the two?

I can't answer either question, but maybe somehow I can run the serial number and get some more info.
